The Three Tiers of Dental Veneers in Lahore
Veneers are not a single product — they are a category, and the price range is enormous. When a patient asks me what veneers cost, my honest answer is: it depends on which type, which lab, and which dentist. Here is what that actually means in 2026 prices.
Composite Veneers: PKR 8,000–18,000 per tooth
Composite veneers are applied directly to your tooth using tooth-coloured resin — the same material used for white fillings. A skilled dentist sculpts them chair-side in a single appointment. They are the most affordable option and require no lab involvement. The trade-off: composite stains more easily than porcelain, is less durable (typically 3–7 years vs 10–15 for porcelain), and the aesthetics — while good — do not match the translucency of glass-ceramic porcelain. For younger patients or anyone wanting to trial a new smile before committing to porcelain, composite is a reasonable starting point.
E.max Porcelain Veneers: PKR 25,000–45,000 per tooth
E.max is a lithium disilicate glass-ceramic — the gold standard for porcelain veneers globally. It has exceptional translucency that mimics natural enamel, and it is highly durable (10–15+ years with proper care). E.max veneers are fabricated by a dental lab, which means two appointments: one for preparation and impressions, one for bonding. At House of Aesthetics, we use E.max as our standard for porcelain veneer cases.
Zirconia Veneers: PKR 30,000–50,000 per tooth
Zirconia is extremely strong — stronger than E.max — but traditionally less translucent, giving a more opaque appearance. It is better suited to posterior (back) teeth or full crowns than ultra-thin front veneers. For anterior smile veneers, most cosmetic dentists prefer E.max for its superior aesthetics. Zirconia-reinforced porcelain hybrids exist at the higher end of this range and offer a compromise between strength and aesthetics.
Why the Same "Veneer" Costs PKR 12,000 at One Clinic and PKR 45,000 at Another
This is the question patients never think to ask until after a disappointing result. The answer comes down to three things: the lab, the material brand, and the dentist's training.
- Lab quality: A local Pakistani lab producing composite-mimicking porcelain at low cost will not produce the same result as an internationally certified lab using genuine E.max blocks. You cannot tell the difference from the price sheet — only from the clinical outcome.
- Material brand: Genuine Ivoclar E.max has a different price point than generic lithium disilicate from an unlabelled supplier. Ask directly: "What material and brand are you using?"
- Dentist training: Cosmetic dentistry is not a regulated specialty in Pakistan — any BDS holder can offer veneers. A dentist with formal post-graduate training in aesthetic dentistry, digital smile design, and hands-on veneer coursework will produce consistently better results. How Many Teeth Do Most People Get?
The standard cosmetic "smile zone" is your upper 6–8 front teeth — the teeth visible when you smile broadly. Most patients at HOA treat 6–8 upper teeth. Treating fewer (4 teeth) is possible but can look uneven unless the lateral teeth are already well-shaped and well-coloured. Some patients also request 4–6 lower veneers for a fully balanced smile.
Hidden Costs to Budget For
The per-tooth price is only part of the picture. Realistic additional costs include:
- Consultation and digital smile design: At HOA, the initial consultation and digital preview are included.
- X-rays: PKR 1,500–3,000 if not already on file.
- Temporary veneers: Worn between preparation and bonding appointments — usually included in the package at quality clinics but worth confirming.
- Pre-whitening: If your natural teeth will be visible alongside veneers, whitening the adjacent teeth first ensures a consistent final shade.
A Realistic Total Cost Example
A patient at House of Aesthetics choosing 8 E.max porcelain veneers on the upper front teeth would currently be looking at PKR 200,000–280,000 for the full course — including temporaries, bonding, and the digital smile design consultation. How to Compare Quotes Honestly
When comparing two clinics, ask each one: (1) What exact material and brand will you use? (2) Which lab produces the veneers? (3) Are temporaries included? (4) What is your policy if I am not happy with the shade or fit? A clinic that cannot answer these questions clearly is one to approach carefully.
